Packaging Artworking

    Packaging Artworking by an Artworker

Print-ready packaging artwork built to brand and to spec. From single hero SKUs to global multi-market rollouts, we deliver files that come back from print exactly how you signed them off.

    What is packaging artworking?

Packaging artworking is the technical craft of turning approved packaging design into production-ready files. That means working from supplied dielines, applying brand and legal copy correctly, separating colours, embedding barcodes and regulatory marks, and exporting print-ready PDFs that match each printer's specification. Done well, it is invisible — the work shows up only when something is wrong on shelf. We've spent 25+ years making sure it doesn't.

    What's included

    Dieline creation, adaptation and verification
Spot, CMYK and special colour separation
Barcode generation and verification (EAN, UPC, GS1)
Regulatory & legal copy placement (ingredients, allergens, recycling, claims)
    Multi-SKU and multi-market versioning
Brand guideline adherence and asset library management
    Pre-press preparation and printer-spec PDFs
EAA-compliant accessible packaging files (where required)

    How we work

    1. 1

      Brief & assets

You share the brief, dielines, brand guidelines and copy decks. We confirm scope, printer spec and timing in writing.

    2. 2

      Artwork build

We build artwork to dieline, apply copy and assets, separate colour and embed barcodes — flagging anything that risks the print.

    3. 3

      Internal QA

Every file goes through a structured pre-flight: bleeds, trims, overprint, separations, copy, barcode verification, regulatory marks.

    4. 4

      Approvals & amends

PDFs back to you and your stakeholders for sign-off, with versioned amends managed cleanly.

    5. 5

      Print-ready release

Final files released to the printer in their required format with a release note covering specs and any production notes.

    Frequently asked questions

Do you work from supplied dielines or create them?

Both. Most clients supply dielines from their structural team or printer; where they don't exist, we build them from spec or sample.

    Can you handle multi-market rollouts?

Yes. We routinely roll a hero SKU out across multiple languages and regulatory regimes, keeping a single source of truth for assets and copy.

    What turnaround should I expect?

Single-SKU adaptations are typically 2–5 working days. Larger rollouts are scoped up front with a clear schedule.

Do you cover EAA accessible packaging requirements?

Yes. We prepare EAA-compliant packaging artwork and supporting documentation for brands selling into EU markets.
